PixiBooks by PIXIGN (PIXIGN) runs pixibooksbypixign.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and phone number, and your profile picture if you sign in with Google. Your password is held, encrypted, by our sign-in provider; we never see it.
- Delivery addresses you save or use for an order.
- Your photos and books: the photos you upload and the books you design (layouts, text, covers).
- Orders and payments: what you ordered, the amount, and the payment status and reference from Razorpay. Card, UPI and bank details go directly to Razorpay and never reach us.
- Messages you send us, and whether you asked for WhatsApp order updates.
- Technical data: basic device and browser information and error logs that help us keep the website working.
If you design a book without signing in, your photos and design are kept only on your device, in your browser, until you sign in.
How we use it
- to save your books, and to print, ship and track your orders;
- to send order emails and, only if you opt in, WhatsApp updates;
- to answer your questions and handle refunds or reprints;
- to keep the website secure, prevent fraud, and meet tax and legal duties.
We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't send marketing messages unless you ask for them.
Your photos
Photos are kept in private storage that only your account can open, through links that expire. We use them only to show your book to you and to print it. Our team looks at them only to print and check your order, or when you ask us for help. They are never shared with other customers, used in advertising, or used to train AI.
Who we share it with
Only with the services that help us run PixiBooks, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase: accounts, sign-in, our database and photo storage;
- Fly.io: hosting for the website;
- Razorpay: payments, under Razorpay's own privacy policy;
- courier partners: your name, address and phone number, to deliver your book;
- our email provider and Meta's WhatsApp service: order updates you asked for;
- Google: if you choose to sign in with Google.
Some of these services store data on secure servers outside India. We may also share data when the law requires it.
Cookies and storage on your device
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage to keep your bag and an unsaved design on your device. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Your photos and saved books stay in your account until you delete the account (Profile, then Delete Account). If you ordered recently, deletion opens 30 days after that order, so we can still help with its delivery or a refund. Deleting your account removes your photos, books and addresses. Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw a consent you gave (for example, to WhatsApp updates). Email pixibooks@pixign.in from your account's email address and we'll respond as the law requires. You can also raise a complaint with India's Data Protection Board.
Security
The website uses encrypted (HTTPS) connections, photos are kept in private storage, and access to our systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you if a breach affects it.
Children
Accounts are for adults. Parents and guardians are welcome to make books with photos of their children; those photos are treated exactly as described above.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will show the date of the latest version at the top of this page.
